Netvvrk roadmap

The Netvvrk Roadmap represents program components we’ve implemented, what we’re working on now, and what we’re planning on doing next. Our plans are made in direct response to the bi-annual member survey, what you tell us in the portal, and the needs we identify through our interactions with you.

HOW our process works

When developing new aspects of Netvvrk programming we prioritize program changes and upgrades that:

  • Give you the ability to implement our programming with ease. We don’t want you pouring hundreds of hours into lessons here before being able to put any of it into action.

  • Give you the ability to gain visibility for your art.

  • You and many of your colleagues have said would demonstrably help you.

NOTE: The questionnaire and a roadmap are guides, not a guarantee of programmatic changes. We respond to the needs and priorities of the membership, which are not static. In other words, when your priorities change, so will ours.

PLATFORM DESIGN AND TOOLS

Timeline: June - OCTOBER

To make sure members can easily connect with each other and access needed resources.

  • Navigational menu changes to help Netvvrk members find what they need inside the platform.

  • A simple and clear set of best practices for using Netvvrk’s existing posting and sharing tools including searching for content, organizing your feed, and navigating Topics and Nodes.

  • A new welcome guide and checklist that will guide members through the site, and help identify materials you may be looking for.

LIVE CALL SCHEDULE

Timeline: July 2022

To make sure studio visits, asset reviews, coaching, and happy hours are available to more members, we will:

  • Offer Studio Visits at different times on Thursdays with the possibility of doing a few Saturday Studio Visits.

  • Offer asset reviews and coaching calls on Saturdays

  • Offer one 7 pm EST Happy Hour a month to help more members attend and participate.

in REAL-LIFE events

Timeline: Q4, 2022

We heard it loud and clear from members—you want more opportunities for IRL events to meet each other where you live and work. To help facilitate and support member-led IRL events in your geographic regions based on exhibitions, artist talks, panel discussions, and other events already happening in your areas we are building support in two areas:

  • A Netvvrk guide that outlines exactly how to self-organize Netvvrk member events.

  • An easy application process that allows members to be reimbursed money spent on food when the event exceeds 40 RSVPs.

SMALL GROUPS

Timeline: Q2-Q4

We’re developing groups so you can more easily connect with artists working on solving the same problems you’re working to solve. This may involve:

  • The addition of specialized groups or nodes specific to the stage of the artist’s career.

  • Formalization and guides for best practices inside the Accountability Partner initiative.

CURRICULUM AND PROGRAMMING UPDATES

Timeline: Ongoing

  • Instagram demo video series to support artists who want to master stories, highlights, reels and more

  • Reference request best practices

  • William Powhida talk on his work and activism

  • Time management best practices

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Timeline: Ongoing

We noted member comments asking for greater diversity in a number of ways from the identities of our guests and speakers to the geographic focus. To this end we will:

  • Invite BIPOC Bonus guests and speakers from across the country with the relevant experience and perspectives to help you build your career.. This is ongoing work for Netvvrk and reflects a commitment to changing the pipelines of access and opportunity.

  • Bring in relevant arts administrators from geographic regions across the country.
